11 January 2010, 08:58 - Annular Solar Eclipse 2010 Expedition will be participated by Space Physics Group and National Eclipse Tracker Team on its path at Maldives and Myanmar on 15th January 2010.
1 January 2010, 10:55 - A Partial Lunar Eclipse was observed at 2 am on New Year's Eve in Peninsula Malaysia.

 Space Physics Laboratory is situated at 3rd floor of block C Department of Physics, University of Malaya. It was established by Prof. Dr. Mohd Zambri Zainuddin on October 1998 with the help of a lab assistant and final year project student. For the observation session, they were using 3 donated manual telescope from Japan and 14” Celestron Telescopes with Losmandy Mounting. Until the year 2007, 113 students had completed their final year projects, 5 Master students and 1 PhD student had completed their studies. Currently there are 9 final year project students, 5 Master students and 3 PhD students are doing their research in astronomy.
